@chesterforeu, spoke about his natural dislike of tribal nationalism, divisions and borders. From experience, he believes strongly that the referendum has created harmful divisions.
Howard (right), also from
@chesterforeu, spoke about his Dutch brother-in-law who felt the referendum had removed his identity. He’s lived & worked in the UK for 35 yrs and it’s had a huge emotional impact on him. Howard said the same applies to a friend who’s lived here for over 40 yrs.
Joel (left), also representing
@chesterforeu, looks at the bigger picture through the lens of history. He spoke about the EU being ultimately a force for good, and how working and cooperating across borders enriches us.
@Timple07 was brought up to believe that truth is important and that it’s our duty to call out the lies we’re told. He spoke about being lied to on a massive scale by the Leave campaign. As an amateur historian, he believes that history will repeat itself when people also tell lies about the past.
